"The Carlton was being renovated they booked us in to the Commodore Hotel. So will answer survey for that hotel although the Carlton was very efficient and accomodating for there mistake of booking while having renovations done. Michelle from Richmond, VA"

"The room's paint job was poor. There was no shuttle to the Mosconie center on weekends thast was listed on their web site. Paper cups for tea and coffee in the lobby. Very limited time for their happy hour also promoted on the web site. I thought all rooms included breakfast on their web site but was told the free hotel search rooms did not include it. It was definitly over rated by free hotel search!"

"we only stayed one night instead of two. we don't know who to contact to get a refund for the second night we had paid. the problem was primarily with the room. beds were very bad and the overall arrangement of the room was poor. it took me back to the 60's. for a 3 star, it was below average."

The Hotel Carlton, which reopened in May 2004 after a 6 million renovation, is an AAA Three-Diamond property ideally located five blocks from Union Square, and approximately 15 miles from San Francisco International Airport. The hotel is also three blocks south of the California Cable Car line that passes through historic Chinatown and the Financial District and in the San Francisco's shopping, restaurants, and theater district
