"The first night we were in a room on the street side (Mason St.) It was extremely noisy ALL NIGHT LONG!! But, the front desk moved us to another room with no problems. Also, it was extremely hot in our room. The ceiling fan and opening the window helped but it became very noisy again. Did not sleep very well the 4 nights we were there.
Beautiful old hotel though and the customer service of the staff was very good friendly and helpful. The only suggestion we have would be to serve complementary coffee in the lounge/lobby for patrons in the AM. Or have a small coffee maker in the rooms for your guests convenience.
We'll be back-love San Fran!

The 141-room hotel has been serving its guests since 1914. Rooms are compact but nicely furnished in classic English style, with walnut furniture and a royal-red and green color scheme. High tea at the Windsor Tearoom is an authentic English treat. Rooms feature private baths, remote control televisions, telephones with voice mail and data ports, safes, ironing equipments, hairdryers, electronic door locks, and even Nintendo game systems.
